It's been very telling how open the newly electred administration has been, even two and a half months before taking over, in revealing its hand in just about everything. Like, drunk level openness. Not since Lincoln has our country so intensely anticipate what would happen once the transfer of power took place(Reagan's pre-tenure barely registers a blip in comparison). And oh what a difference...

Contrast Trump's airing, tweeting of every new potential appointment and minute to minute reactions, to that of Lincoln's virtual silence on all matters to allow the sitting president(Buchanan, a democrat) to continue to lead the nation through extremely uncertain times, and all the while, an entire nation, split apart, held its collective breath wondering if the country could even survive the winter.

Getting My Read On This Time's End Of Times

I've had to interrupt my river float to walk on firmer ground. If even only for a couple days, the murkiness and mucky-muck seek clearer sight, and some new, steadier guide. So, sorry friends, Huck & Jim. I'll miss our depthy readings and punny piker's thoughts with a promise to re-join the raft should things come out okay. They have always without fail before. But should the rumors bear true, and all be wrought awry, I'll need the mettle and muscle of the infallible: BRING ME JACK REACHER!

If I think that the candidate who aligns with principles I hold dear can ably administer the office he/she is running for, they qualify to get my vote. Harry Browne did, and Gary Johnson does, brilliantly meet that criteria. I hope the Libertarian Party continues to serve up such candidates.
